After unloading the container last Tuesday, we took a breath, and upon opening on Thursday, we realized we could have used even more fresh merchandise. A number of familiar faces showed up to get the "best pickings" for their shops or homes. It seemed like zinc-top tables and zinc wirework furniture (old school lockers, shelves, racks) were the hottest items. Even the little plant pots (see photo) are zinc. We just love this material. It's serious, yet soft in color and feel and, we think, "modern with a heart". Can't wait to go and unearth more of these pieces, which generally date to the 1950's. They are quirky, useful and best of all.............affordable.
